Biography of Dr. Lillie M. Coley

Embracing Your Identity as a Gift and Privilege

Dr. Lillie Marie Coley was born to the beloved late James O. Coley, Sr. and Lillie Charlene Coley.  Due to the tragic death of her parents at the age of 11, she feels inspired and obligated to help the community particularly the youth not to become victims of their circumstances.   With information comes revelation. From her experiences of her parents tragic death Dr. Coley has written a much sought after book entitled "My Story - Tragedy Turned To Opportunity" which deals with the death of parents, her walk in life being celibate and how to live in your destiny. My Story has been translated into 6 languages and she has other materials written such as "52 Wise Tips For Living" and Daily Devotional". To date Dr. Coley has nine(9) books published.  Dr. Coley has discussed her book and other topics on several TV shows such as National Jenny Jones Show, ABC's To The Point, and Grace and Glory in Baltimore, Md. She has also done several talk shows on the radio and other speaking platforms. Dr. Coley has been an active member in community service for over 15 years. Her areas of focus are in New Jersey and Maryland. Combined with her community and home Church she has been active working with youth, singles, women's support groups and bring the Labor workforce community together with potential clients for jobs within the community.  She is currently a inspirationist/motivational speaker throughout the community speaking at Churches and public facilities about empowerment and self identity issues.  She helps and administrates programs to help individual obtain employment as it relates to job readiness and job retention.  Dr. Coley has the ability to reach and help all people regardless of their moral and social beliefs.

Dr. Coley, currently operates a Community Empowerment Outreach  (CEO) non-profit organization  for the entire family unit and for all people.  Such programs include Youth Empowerment Services (Y.E.S)  which helps youth in all aspects of life and MIRROR image a program under Safe futures for teenage girls.  We also have a program called C.O.O.L (Controlling Our Own Lives) for teenagers in school going through difficult family and economic issues. She is also associated with other businesses.

Dr. Coley has a B.S. in Computer Science and Math a double major from Temple University, a M.S. studies at Eastern College and Thomas Edison in Management Science with Thomas Edison being the awarding institution and Doctorate Studies at Philadelphia College of Bible and International Theological Seminary (ITS) with ITS being the awarding institution. Her last degree was completed by the age of thirty-two. Dr. Coley is very active in the community working on various boards and shares in over all strategic plan of helping this nation to build a better family unit. Strong families mean a stronger country. She recently was awarded the WHO’s WHO’s in the National registered and member of NAFE (National Association of Executive Women). Dr. Coley has proven that one does not have to be a victim of their circumstances but learn to rise above any situation, turning tragedy into opportunity through and by the Power of God’ love. She feels if she can do it, anybody can do it inspite of what they have been through and by God’s grace is still living her testimony many years later of what she shares in her book My Story.   Dr. Coley is the godmother of several spiritual children who ages range from four to thirty-five.
